81C Arts’ “Expression through The Arts” Weekend Youth Art Program offers a safe and supportive environment for participants to immerse themselves in the language and techniques of self-expression, while expanding their social-emotional skills and developing their artistic potential.
The program focuses on self-expression through visual art but also incorporates creative writing, improv games, and other opportunities for creative exploration. Each session provides students with the opportunity to complete a unique work of art, fostering a sense of accomplishment and growth in their creative journey.
In May, the program transitions to framing workshops, where students will learn practical techniques to prepare their artwork for display, with the goal of showcasing a selected piece during the end-of-summer student exhibit. This celebration offers students, families, and teachers an opportunity to collectively share in the joy of exhibited artwork created throughout the program.
